Do people need an account or an app to record?
You share one link, or invite people direct if you know their email, and everyone records right in their web browser. There is no app to download. They tap, they talk, and they send when they are happy with it.
How many voices can I collect, and how long should they be?
Up to twenty-five voices per Starcard. There is no minimum length and you have 3 minutes of message time.
How long can the recipient come back to the gift?
As long as their Starcard exists. They can come back and hear the voices again.
Is it private?
Each Starcard is reached through its own link and is never listed publicly or indexed by search engines. Keep invitation and recipient links within your intended group. Anyone with valid access to the recipient link can hear the full messages.
Starcard vs a group card?
A group card collects messages from multiple people, but everyone writes on one card, the messages are text, and the recipient reads them once and moves on. A Starcard is audio: each person records a short voice message, and all the voices come together in one gift. The recipient hears the voices, and can replay them any time.
Can I hear a sample before I pay?
Yes. Add or approve a recorded voice before you pay. Organizer previews play the first 4 seconds of every saved voice, including your recordings and uploads. The finished gift plays every message in full.
Can I use Starcard for someone who is far away?
Yes. That is what it is made for. You share one link by text, email, or a message app. They record from their phone, tablet, or computer, and the recipient opens the gift wherever they are. There is no app to download.
How do I delete my account?
To request deletion of your account, email support@starcard.gift from the email address you use for Starcard.
