• Content you provide. The voice recordings, names, occasions, and messages that organizers and contributors add to a Starcard.
• Payment information. Payments are processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.
• Usage information. Basic analytics about how the service is used, which help us keep it working and improve it.

How we use information

We use information to provide and operate the service, process payments, send you messages related to your Starcard, keep the service secure, and improve how it works.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of providers to run Starcard, including hosting, database, and storage, payment processing, email delivery, and product analytics. These providers process information on our behalf and only as needed to provide their services.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with the providers described above, when you direct us to (for example, by sharing a private link), or when required by law.

Cookies and consent

We use cookies for essential things like keeping you signed in. For analytics, we ask first: a banner lets you accept or decline, and we do not load analytics or set analytics cookies unless you accept. You can change your mind by clearing the site’s cookies.

Data retention

A Starcard and its recordings are kept for the access period, which is about one year, and may then be removed. You can delete a Starcard at any time, which removes its recordings. Some records may be retained as required for legal, accounting, or security reasons.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including private links and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You can delete a Starcard to remove its recordings, or contact us to request access to or deletion of your information. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information.

Children

Starcard is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above. Your continued use of Starcard means you accept the updated policy.
