These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Starcard. By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
The service
Starcard lets a group collect short voice messages that become a private night sky for someone to open. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time.
Eligibility and your account
You must be the age of majority where you live to use Starcard. You are responsible for activity that happens through your account and for keeping your sign-in link and any private links secure.
Your content and consent
You keep ownership of the recordings and messages you and your contributors add. You represent that you have the right to collect and share that content, and that the people who record have agreed to take part. You grant Starcard a limited license to host, process, and deliver that content for the sole purpose of providing the service to you.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Starcard for anything unlawful, harmful, harassing, infringing, or abusive, and not to upload content you do not have the right to share. We may remove content or suspend access that violates these Terms.
Payments
A Starcard is a one-time purchase of $9.99, processed by our payment provider. Any refund terms that apply will be presented at the time of purchase.
Disclaimer of warranties
The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. You use Starcard at your own risk. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that content will always be available.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Starcard and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, content, or goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the Starcard giving rise to the claim.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Starcard harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses arising out of the content you provide or your use of the service.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the date above. Your continued use of Starcard means you accept the updated Terms.
